Tunable dispersion compensator with integrated wavelength locking monitor

We demonstrate a compact silica-waveguide 10-Gb/s dispersion compensator with single-knob tuning that works with uncontrolled wavelength transmitters by automatically locking to the signal wavelength. We demonstrate 10.7-Gb/s transmission over 3825 ps/nm with a double-pass version.
