Two new equations for the design of filters
14 December 1953
In some cases the unloaded Q-factor of the elements used in the design of constant-K filters is sufficiently high for them to be considered non-dissipative. Two equations are given which specify the exact element values required, in a closed form, to produce a Chebymacrshev attenuation shape in the non-dissipative case. These equations are the analogues of the equations for the coupling coefficients derived by Norton and Bennett for the Butterworth attenuation shape.
