X.25 PAD Concentrator and Gateway Network Management - Towards a UNMA Environment
19 September 1989
As AT&T's Unified Network Management Architecture (UNMA) evolves, one of the major goals is to support as many communication systems in a UNMA environment as possible. AT&T's UNMA integrates the management systems of previously separate communication components. This paper describes an example architecture for the integration of such a management system for X.25 PADs, concentrators and gateways. The paper first describes the current architecture and then goes on to present the example architectural considerations for evolving the management system to support UNMA. These considerations may apply to other similar systems as well.
