XXI-st Century Now: High Temperature Superconductivity

Dramatic developments which took place in the field of superconductivity in 1986 - 1987 produced unprecedented excitement in scientific, industrial and financial circles, as well as among the general public. In March this year, two major conferences will be largely devoted to this fast-moving field: the International Conference on Materials and Mechanisms of Superconductivity in Interlaken, Switzerland, February 29 - March 4, and the American Physical Society Meeting in New Orleans, March 21 - 25th.
