Nokia, NTT and Anritsu validate world’s first energy-saving potential of Elastic networking in Japan #MWC25
Nokia today announced that Nokia, Nippon Telegraph and Telephone (NTT) and Anritsu Corporation successfully conducted a first-of-its-kind Proof of Concept (PoC) to demonstrate the effectiveness of Elastic networking in bringing down energy usage in mobile networks. Elastic networking has been developed under the Innovative Optical and Wireless Network (IOWN) Global Forum.
When deployed, Elastic networking helps reduce its energy costs by switching away network resources from the secondary destination to a primary destination effectively having the ability to hibernate radio and optical equipment at the same time.

“Anritsu is committed to support this important industry topic of energy efficiency, and we are proud to contribute to this IOWN GF industry first PoC activity.”
