Puntonet Ecuador taps Nokia to evolve Broadband / fixed access network to 10G and trial 25G PON technology
Nokia today announced that Puntonet Ecuador, one of the top five ISPs in the country, will deploy its software-defined and XGS-PON fiber solutions to help address the growing demand for high-speed internet services from end-users. The deployment will enable Puntonet to increase competitive advantage and enhance the reliability, flexibility, and scale of its fiber network to better support evolving customer demands.
Using Nokia's next-generation fiber technology, Puntonet can quickly expand its current service offering to deliver new 10Gbps broadband speeds to residential and business customers.
