Practical information
Climate
Bangkok's climate in June is hot and humid, with temperatures ranging from approximately 260C to 340C (790F to 930F). It is the rainy season, so expect frequent, though often short, daily showers and a high chance of humidity. While the city experiences rain almost every other day, it is uncommon for it to rain nonstop, and sunny spells are still likely.
Currency
The currency in Thailand is the Thai Baht (THB).
Dress Code
The dress code for Wavelengths is business casual.
Electricity/Voltage
Electricity in Thailand uses a standard voltage of 220V at 50Hz, which is compatible with most European and Asian appliances. Travelers from countries with different voltages, like the US (110-127V), will need a voltage converter for their devices. Thailand uses various socket types, including flat-pin (A/B) and round-pin (C/F/O), so bringing an adapter is recommended to ensure compatibility, although many modern hotels provide universal sockets. It is recommended to bring an international adaptor as the hotel is limited in converters.
