What is Service Management and Orchestration?

Service Management and Orchestration (SMO) is an open platform for managing a multi-supplier, multi-technology radio access network (RAN). SMO provides the intelligence, automation and coordination for managing the end-to-end lifecycle of the network. 

SMO is designed to address operators' challenges and help them deliver differentiated service experiences for enterprises and consumers.

The SMO framework consists of different layers, including multi-supplier network management, application automation and orchestration.

MantaRay SMO can run and orchestrate both the existing network and automation solutions that our customers use today while also supporting new interfaces and new applications. The solution comes with more than 30 rApps based on our existing SON modules. We are also building an extensive catalogue of Nokia and third-party rApps, and we offer a software development kit (SDK) to our customers and application developers.
