Course Number: 3FL30632AAAAZZZZA
Course Duration: 4 days
Price: $2,775 US

Course Overview

The Nokia IP Networks and Services Fundamentals course is the starting point for the Service Routing Certification program. It is designed for students who begin with limited knowledge of IP and Ethernet technologies. Upon successful completion of this course, students will be familiar with the basics of the TCP/IP layered model, Ethernet, Internet addressing and packet forwarding, routing protocols, MPLS tunneling, and Virtual Private Network (VPN) services.  All use cases and lab exercises are based on the model-driven command-line interface (MD-CLI).

Course Objectives

After completing the course, students should be able to:

  •     Describe the basics of the TCP/IP layered model
  •     Identify where in the network the products of the Nokia Service Router family are being used
  •     Perform basic configuration with the command line interface of the Nokia 7750 Service Router
  •     Explain the purpose and operation of the Ethernet protocol
  •     Describe the Internet Protocol (IP) addressing and forwarding process
  •     Explain the difference between static routing and dynamic routing protocols
